Our neighborhood has a little contest to encourage families to decorate their houses for the holidays. The winner gets a little gift certificate to a restaurant, or something like that. Quite a few people have put up lights, little trees, some inflatables, etc. As we were leaving to go look at some houses this morning, however, we noticed a couple of odd things. Maybe a drive-by prankster, or perhaps a neighborhood saboteur...
BTW, the first three pictures are one house, and the fourth is a second.
I also spotted this lady and took her picture through the blinds. :stalker: It's not gold lame, but it's not good, either.

Comme des Garcons
That looks like something Matt would do. In fact, he does that to wooden ducks at
Target!

19That house is fabulous, btw. They sure don't make 'em like that here. And I bet it didn't cost $2 million, either. *jealous*
20what is the significance of the overturned christmas tree? what are those geniuses trying to tell us? :crackingcode:
21I love those decorations. I mean, I love them in pictures... I have always wondered if decorating a house like that increases the electricity bill considerably

I think the overturned Christmas tree is propping up the, ummm, "giving" deer.
And, no, Sticky - at the most, I think that house would sell for ~$400K. I looked up CA home prices about two years ago when I thought I might be moving out there, and I choked on my sammitch.
23
$400k? Are you kidding?!? You probably couldn't get a house in Compton
for that. Example- the duplex down the street is currently $775k. It's only one unit, so basically half a house. My hope is that once peoples' interest only loans start coming due prices will
drop some more. Not that they'll ever get into my price range (like under $300k), but at least if they keep falling we'll be able to get a townhome one day. Ideally though, I'd kick your
neighbors out and steal their house. Jebus, that place is sweet.
24Prices have fallen about 20-25% in the last year or two, so it would be a lot cheaper if you looked right now.
25Yeah b/c here in NJ houses like are around $500k or so depending on the area and how big the house is... Around where I live the house's prices are outrageous!!!

Just realized this is a public blog. You know it's only a matter of time before these
pictures spread like wildfire in email forwards.
28Oops! I didn't mean to make this public.
As long as the lady with the pants isn't a member, I think I'm cool.
29You can edit it back to private if you're concerned.
