He's here, healthy, and cute as a button. Jonathan and I are totally in love, and Jackson will meet him later today.

Between consistent fever, chills, and severe nausea, I didn't have the most awesome yesterday but am feeling notably better today. Oh, and the IV was actually worse than the spinal block.

I'll have a few pictures up when I'm home in a day or two. I'm on my BlackBerry, so I hope this blog looks somewhat like intelligible English.

Linens N Things - HUGE Sale

Someone else mentioned this the other day (I think in Kitchen Goddess?) in regards to a slow cooker purchase, but Linens N Things is officially going out of business, and they are in the middle of liquidation sales on their website and in the stores. All sales are final, but there are some nice deals.

We're going this evening to pick up some fresh cookware, and I'm going to try my best to stay out of the kitchen appliances section.

You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Anyone dealt with CarMax?

I am still on the hunt for a car, and I've been eyeballing CarMax since I want to go used, and they seem to have decent deals. I've heard that they don't give anything for a trade-in, but that's not really a concern since I will probably just sell my car privately.

Mostly, I'm wondering about the quality of the vehicles - do they really go over them with a fine-toothed comb? And, how is the overall buying experience? No haggling sounds nice to me, but is the rest of the process relatively pain-free? Also, if anyone knows anything about their guarantees or warranties, I'm interested in that info, also.

School Bus Rape - WTF is going on?

This disgusts me - not only that a person would do this to someone else, but that out of 60 other kids on the bus, no one stood up and stopped this. Unbelievable. People wonder why I'm such a cynic - I want to vomit. Kill the rapist and flog all the kids on the bus - and their parents, while we're at it.

Police said a video camera captured images of a teenage girl trying to ward off an 18-year-old student accused of raping her in front of others on the bus last week.

Riverdale High School senior Brandon Stover, of Odessa Avenue, was arrested Friday on charges of rape and sexual battery stemming from the incident videotaped by a camera on board the school bus.

A freshman at Riverdale High School told authorities Stover rubbed his hands across her body and fondled her below the waist Feb. 20 while both were riding the bus, Murfreesboro Police spokesman Kyle Evans said.

"The video clearly shows her distressed facial expressions and you can read her lips crying for help," Evans said. "It corroborates her story 100 percent."

To protect the 14-year-old victim's identity the video will not be released.

Evans, who called the recording "shocking," said the video shows the victim getting on the bus bound for the St. Andrews Drive area and sitting in about the seventh row near the aisle.

"A few moments later, you see Mr. Stover approach the victim and forcibly push her over to the window, trapping her inside the seat," Evans said. "While the bus was still parked, Mr. Stover begins to sexually assault her, rubbing his hands across her body and in private areas.

"You can clearly see from the video she repeatedly says, 'stop,' 'no,' or 'leave me alone,'" Evans said. "She tries to escape, and Mr. Stover physically forces her back."

Some of the girl's pleas for help can be heard on the video, Evans said.

At one point in the 15-minute attack, Evans said, the victim even turned to another student on the bus filled with 60 kids and asked for help.

"It appears as if the student tried to engage the attacker in a conversation, but did not distract him for very long," Evans said.

Stover then reportedly continued his attack on the young girl, putting his hand into her pants and sexually assaulting her, police said.

Under state law, any penetration without consent is considered felony rape, punishable by up to eight to 12 years with 30 percent served in prison.

The girl reported the incident to school officials Thursday morning. The school resource officer called Murfreesboro Police to investigate.

Police Detective Wayne Lawson interviewed the victim and watched the video at that time.

"After watching the video from the bus, it was clear that an assault had occurred," Lawson reported.

In an interview with the detective, Stover reportedly admitted to assaulting the girl but claimed he did not penetrate her with his hand.

"'No' means 'no' and 'stop' means 'stop'," Evans said. "Young people and the whole community need to realize the seriousness of this crime. Mr. Stover is facing prison time, and the young lady involved could potentially deal with this for the rest of her life."

Evans said while the incident was shocking, the fact that no students reported the attack or tried to stop it was equally disturbing.

"I urge other students to be leaders when they see misbehavior ? do the right thing," Evans said. "Get an adult involved or take some action to stop what's happening."

Whew. Okay, so - tomorrow, Sephora opens in Knoxville, at the mall that is less than 10 miles from our house. I am seriously low on a number of necessities, and I've run completely out of my favorite Stila lip glazes. Fortunately, I have loads of Primer Potion left, thanks to that recent discovery - I'd planned to buy a new tube tomorrow and then chuck the old one. Anyway, I want to go completely batsh*t crazy on the place, but I'm a wee low on cash this month, so it will have to wait until later in March. But, I can get my favorite everyday bits.

I am definitely picking up a new jar of BE, 'cause I am down to the last bit of dust, at least two Stila lip glazes, and I'm going to try the Frederic Fekkai glossing line, though I think I'll go with the smallest sizes I can find for a trial period, just in case it doesn't work for me. If they have it, I might spring for the Ole Henrikssen Pure Perfection cream, 'cause the sample was awesome. And, I'd like to pick up at least one cute palette - I bookmarked the Too Faced palette than Jen76 reviewed a few weeks ago.

Hopefully, I won't get sucked in by much else. (Yeah, right.) I also plan to hit the MAC counter at Dillards for the Club eyeshadow.

I am going to need a bigger train case.

Ugh, ugh, and...ugh.

I rented this on a whim, 'cause everything else at Blockbuster looked stinky. I didn't know a thing about it, but WOW. I actually think it might take a spot in my Top 10.

This description from IMDB sums it up as best as possible, I think:
